Brazilian Buttock Lift, Buttock Augmentation, Thigh Lift

Buttock augmentation is ideal for those patients who would like a firmer, tighter and shapelier backside. Dr. Born can perform a buttock and thigh lift and/or fat transfer surgery in order to enhance your curves and achieve a more youthful contour to your buttocks and thighs. During your consultation, Dr. Born will determine which procedures will help you attain the shape and result that is appropriate.

For those patients who experience increased skin laxity as a result of the aging process or major weight loss, a buttock and/ or thigh lift is needed. This procedure removes excess skin in order to restore firmness and tightness to the skin around the buttocks and thighs.  An incision is made at the top part of the buttock – low enough to be well hidden by your underwear or bikini. The excess skin is pulled up and removed, and the incision will be closed with an absorbable stitch so that no suture removal is necessary.

For those patients who are looking to achieve a fuller, rounder buttock, Dr. Born may perform fat transfer surgery. Large volumes of fat will be removed from a donor site such as the abdomen, flanks or thighs via liposuction, and then transferred into the buttock to add volume and definition. Dr. Born manually injects the harvested fat with a syringe to carefully contour the buttock and achieve the ideal shape.

During your recovery, you will be required to wear a binding garment in order to minimize swelling and improve circulation. Patients must avoid the sitting position for 2 weeks (no driving!) to avoid pulling at the incision line – Dr. Born and the nursing staff will instruct you on alternative rest positions. Light activity is encouraged 2 weeks after your surgery and you should be able to resume normal activity 1 month post op.
