Sculptra Injections In Toronto & Manhattan

Sculptra^®  is a biocompatible and biodegradable injectable filler known as poly-L-lactic acid that naturally stimulates the body to produce its own collagen. Depressed areas of the face are restored with 2- 4 treatments and the effects of Sculptra^®  can last for up to 2 years. Sculptra^®  is often used to re-contour the jawline, plump the cheeks and fill hollows around the temples.

The procedure involves multiple treatments performed at 4- 6 week intervals. After your initial assessment, Dr. Born will determine how many treatments are needed to achieve the desired result and when your next treatment should be. Most patients require 3 to 4 treatments.

At each treatment session, Dr. Born will inject Sculptra^®  in multiple areas. Treatment time is anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the number of areas treated. After your Sculptra^®  treatment, you may experience some side effects at the injection site including tenderness, redness and swelling or bleeding. These effects are temporary and should resolve within 10 days.

To ensure the success of each Sculptra^®  treatment, it is important to follow a specific set of aftercare instructions including regular massage of the treated area. Dr. Born will advise of you of the appropriate post injection protocol.
